Hagar Does It Again; Johnson On Top At Knoxville

It was five J&J Auto Racing chassis in victory lane over on Saturday, May 7th. Clint Garner, Trevor Serbus Brant O'Banion and Scotty Johnson found victory lane for the first time this season and Derek Hagar picked up his fifth win of the season.

It was an emotional win for Scotty Johnson, who picked up the make-up Pro Series feature at Knoxville Raceway. Scotty and his team raced back-to-back feature events, finishing third in the first feature event, gave extra seat time for Scotty to prepare for the second feature (make up) of the night. Starting outside the pole and making the pass for the lead off turn one, Scotty captured the lead and was able to hang on for the win!

Continuing the winning train at Knoxville Raceway, Clint Garner the 2021 360 Knoxville Raceway Champion, found himself in victory lane by winning the 18-lap 360 feature event. Starting off in the eighth position, Clint quickly was able to maneuver his way up to third within a few laps of the race. Using the high side to his advantage, Clint stole the show for the lead pass and went on to take the checkered flag.

Derek Hagar is on a winning roll as he won his fifth race out in only eight starts to date. Making his first appearance at Greenville Speedway in Mississippi since 2019, Derek found this rhythm yet again and knew his car could find victory lane. Only one thing stood in his way, the feature redraw. With faith at his own hands, Derek drew the third position for the 25-lap feature. Making gains by lap 10, Derek took over the lead midway through the race to drive away with the win.
