Hafertepe, Jr. Crowned King Of The 360s

After having a rough start to his 2022 racing campaign, Sam Hafertepe, Jr. got the monkey off of his back and earned the Winter Nationals; King of the 360s win at East Bay Raceway Park on February 19th. The 11-minute, 40-lap feature event, went green-to-checkered, the perfect conditions for Sam and his Hill's Racing No.15 team. Picking his way through the field and lap traffic, Sam was contesting for the lead with Mark Smith by lap 26. Hafertepe, Jr., and Smith battled on the bottom grove while McCarl and Westbrook, Sam's teammate at Hill's Racing gave their run for the money on the high side of the track. All to which was no match for Sam and his No.15H rocket ship, passing Smith for the lead, Hafertepe Jr. never looked back and earned his first win of the season.
