J&J Auto Racing Teams Break Triple Digit Win Mark Just Short Of Summer
McKENZIE, Tenn. (June 20, 2018) – Summer doesn’t officially begin until tomorrow, but J&J Auto Racing teams didn’t get the memo as they’ve now combined for more than 100 victories to-date.
Donny Schatz kicked off mid-June with a victory in his home state on June 15 at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, ND. The win was Schatz’s 10th at the facility thus far in his World of Outlaws (WoO) Craftsman Sprint Car Series career.
Trey Starks bested a stout field of United Sprint Car Series (USCS) entries to take the win at the “New” Lavonia (GA) Speedway on June 15 to pick up his third win of the 2018 season. Kyle Amerson followed Starks to the line in third place while Morgan Turpen and Terry Gray took the fourth and fifth positions.
Andre Layfield put his name on the J&J Auto Racing leaderboard with a June 15 win at Legendary Hilltop Speedway in Marietta, OH in Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association (OVSCA) competition. The win marked Layfield’s second outing in the Adam Tippett owned entry.
Steven Richardson won his first career win at Dodge City Raceway Park (DCRP) in preliminary action in the Second Annual Lubbock Wrecker Service DCRP vs. United Rebel Sprint Series (URSS) 305 Sprint Car Nationals event.
Tyler Drueke picked up a win in IMCA RaceSaver 305ci Division competition at US 36 Raceway in Osborn, MO on June 15 to post his fourth win of the year.
Steve Surniak went to battle against the Carolina No Bull Sprint Series on June 15 at Travelers Rest Speedway in South Carolina to cash in on his second victory of the season.
On June 16, Trey Starks found himself in victory lane for as many as two days in USCS competition. This time, Starks’ playground was at Blue Ridge Motorsports Park in Marble, GA. Starks was followed to the line by Morgan Turpen in second place, Lance Moss in fourth and Terry Gray in fifth.
Ken Duke, Jr., drove to the win at Hagerstown, MD on June 16 in IMCA RaceSaver 305ci division competition to put a mark on the J&J Auto Racing leaderboard.
Josh Turner picked up the Sprints on Dirt (SOD) victory at Butler (MI) Motor Speedway on June 16th in 410ci winged sprint car competition.
Sye Lynch won his first feature event of the season at Tri-City Raceway in Franklin, PA against an always-strong contingent of 410ci winged sprint cars.
Jared Horstman wrapped up an exciting weekend for J&J Auto Racing with a win at Waynesfield (OH) Raceway Park in NRA Sprint Invaders competition to put the sprint car manufacturer into triple digits victory totals.
