McKENZIE, Tenn. (May 25, 2018) – Triumph is the theme of J&J Auto Racing’s “Month of May” as the McKenzie, Tenn., based manufacturer continues to celebrate the success of sprint car teams from around the United States as they win races in various racing series and divisions.

On May 5 at Dodge City (KS) Raceway Park, Brian Herbert won the IMCA RaceSaver 305ci division feature event to hoist his first checkered flag of the season in victory lane.

While rain won many events on May 12 across the country, Jade Hastings took flight at Devils Lake Speedway in Crary, ND to pick up his first Northern Outlaws Sprint Association (NOSA) event win of 2018. He was followed to the line by fellow J&J Auto Racing driver Wade Nygaard who finished second.

On May 18, Sam Hafertepe, Jr., picked up his second victory of the year at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, OK against an always stout field of American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) Red River Valley division teams.

The 2017 360 Knoxville Nationals champion Clint Garner returned to winning form at the legendary half-mile on May 19 in Iowa to put his name on the winner board for J&J Auto Racing. Following Garner to the line was Calvin Landis in fourth, Lee Grosz in fifth and Matt Moro in an eighth-place run.

The same night at Boone (IA) Speedway, Mike Houseman picked up his first IMCA RaceSaver 305ci victory of the year.

Zach Pringle led a solid contingent of J&J Auto Racing teams as he won the Hooker Hood Classic at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, AR, on May 19, beating several J&J Auto Racing entries to the checkered flag to pick up the win. Derek Hagar followed Pringle to the line in third, Dale Howard followed in fourth, Ernie Ainsworth finished sixth and Marshall Skinner finished seventh to see J&J Auto Racing pick up five of the top-10 finishing positions.

Wrapping up a busy week for J&J Auto Racing, Trevor Serbus picked up the win at Arlington (MN) Raceway on May 19 to earn his first IMCA RaceSaver 305ci victory of the season.
