McKENZIE, Tenn. (November 22, 2017) – Following a telling trend, J&J Auto Racing teams added to the McKenzie, Tenn., based manufacturer’s already impressive stats for the 2017 season over the weekend as David Murcott and Matt Moro were celebrated as the Victorian Sprintcar Title and Knoxville Raceway champions, respectively.
Moro was honored in front of a crowd of more than 600 during the Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway championship celebration banquet on Saturday, Nov. 18, for winning his second career 360ci Winged Sprint Car division title at the facility. His first track championship in the same division came in 2008. Moro and the No. 2M team will return to Knoxville Raceway action in 2018.
Murcott survived and conquered a crash-filled Victorian Sprint Car Title event at Premier Speedway in Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia on the same night. The No. V88 team celebrated the hard-fought victory as Sprint Car racing action heats up overseas.
