Hafertepe, Jr., Thomas Lock Up Titles, Starks Wins In Florida

McKENZIE, Tenn. (November 15, 2017) – J&J Auto Racing teams added two Sprint Car titles to it’s 2017 records and a win in Florida to wrap up another busy weekend of racing in the United States.
Sam Hafertepe, Jr., locked up the 2017 American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) National Series championship at Cocopah Speedway in Yuma, AZ, to put a cherry on the top of a stellar racing season. Hafertepe, Jr., has won 16 feature events across the country in J&J Auto Racing entries to wrap-up his second straight ASCS Series triumph.
Michael Thomas took home the hardware in the 358ci Winged Sprint Car division at Selinsgrove (PA) Speedway to end a solid season in an always tough Pennsylvania racing environment.
Trey Starks drove to victory lane at Bubba Raceway Park (BRP) in Ocala, FL, on November 11 to pick-up his third win the season behind the wheel of a J&J Auto Racing machine this season. Starks held off a stout field of United Sprint Car Series (USCS) entries to take the checkered flag. Morgan Turpen followed Starks to the line at BRP as she crossed the finish line in third position.

On a note of sadness, our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Richard Gabor. A long-time and loyal J&J Auto Racing customer, Gabor owned Eagle Jet International in Miami, FL. Near and dear to our hearts, Gabor was also the car owner and friend of Keith Butler.
In honor of his back-to-back ASCS National Championship, Hafertepe, Jr., was selected as the winner of the October #WinWithJ&J Twitter photo contest this week, as J&J Auto Racing selected his tagged photo from the collection. Earlier this season, J&J Auto Racing announced a Twitter contest open to both race teams competing under the brand’s banner as well as the public. For a chance to win a free J&J Auto Racing T-shirt, entrants must follow the brand on Twitter @JJ_Auto_Racing and post an appropriate racing-related image with J&J Auto Racing’s Twitter account tagged and using the hashtag #WinWithJ&J within the post.
A winner from tagged photos will be selected monthly and announced via J&J Auto Racing’s social media pages. All those submitting photos agree to allow J&J Auto Racing usage rights with photo credit. The contest will run through December 31, 2017. Monthly winners will be selected the last day of each month and announced accordingly.
