McKENZIE, Tenn. (October 4, 2017) – J&J Auto Racing’s Brandon McMullen wrapped up the final weekend of September in a big way as he claimed the Midwest Sprintcar Association (MSA) Series championship, the Plymouth Dirt Track Racing (PDTR) 360 Sprint Car Series track title and sealed it up with a PDTR feature event win at Sheboygan County Fair Park in Plymouth, Wis., on Sept. 30. Coming away unscathed following a crash involving the race leaders, McMullen took the lead on lap 11, survived several restarts and used traffic to his advantage to earn his 12th career PDTR victory and his 17th MSA career triumph. The title marked McMullen’s third consecutive MSA Series championship.

Sam Hafertepe, Jr., also grabbed a big weekend victory as he took the checkered flag in American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) National division competition at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., on Sept. 30. The victory marked the Texas native’s 16th triumph on the 2017 season.

Cap Henry was also a winner on Sept. 30 as he picked up his third win of the year against a stout Sprints On Dirt (SOD) Series field at Berlin Raceway in Marne, Mich. Following Henry to the line was J&J Auto Racing driver, Ryan Ruhl, who picked up a second-place finish.

Matt Foos posted a win in 305ci Winged Sprint Car competition at Fremont (Ohio) Speedway on Sept. 30. The victory was his first of the 2017 season.

Jake McLain wrapped up J&J Auto Racing’s weekend win effort with a victory in Carolina No Bull Sprint (CNBS) Series action at Harris (NC) Motor Speedway on the same night, his second on the year.
