McKENZIE, Tenn. (August 30, 2017) – Winning races and chasing championships. It’s been a common theme carried by McKenzie, Tenn., based J&J Auto Racing and the teams that compete under the brand’s banner all season long. This week, nine drivers across the country put their J&J’s in victory lane while three laid claims to the title of track champion in their respective divisions.
Matt Moro put a wrap on the 2017 Knoxville Raceway 360 Division championship on August 26 with a sixth-place finish in the season ending Knoxville Championship Cup event. The title was Moro’s second track championship at the facility, with his first coming in 2008.
Martin Edwards took home the 2017 IMCA RaceSaver 305ci Division title at Devil’s Bowl Speedway officially on August 26 with a fifth-place finish in the feature event.
Tyler Drueke wrapped up the 2017 IMCA RaceSaver 305ci Division title at Eagle (NE) Raceway on August 26 with a solid third-place finish to put a period on the championship.
Leading the charge for J&J Auto Racing in the 305ci Winged Sprint Car contingents was Chris Graf, who has won three consecutive events at Arlington (MN) Raceway on August 5, 12 and 19 to bring his win total on the season up to four. On August 26, Cody Bova bested the 305ci Division field at Mercer (PA) Raceway Park to win his third feature event of the year. Ryan Stillwaggon won the 305ci Division feature event on August 26 at Bridgeport (NJ) Speedway to put his name in the win column.
