McKENZIE, Tenn. (July 12, 2017) – J&J Auto Racing continues to see summertime success following quickly on the heels of a huge victory surge in early July. The McKenzie, Tenn., based manufacturer saw drivers take the checkered flag seven times over July 7 - 8. Drivers Trey Starks, Terry McCarl, Lee Grosz, Cap Henry, Evan Epperson, Steve Surniak, Ryan Ruhl and Doug Zimmerman all battled their way to wins at tracks ranging from the East Coast to the upper Midwest.

In 410ci winged sprint car competition, Starks grabbed a Pennsylvania Speedweek win at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Penn., on July 7 to pick up where J&J Auto Racing teams had left off just prior to the fourth of July holiday. Across the Midwest at Dodge City Fairgrounds on the same evening, McCarl stormed his way into victory lane against the Interstate Racing Association (IRA) Series. Tony Stewart followed McCarl to the line in fourth place.

Henry won his first 410ci winged sprint car feature event of 2017 at Fremont (Ohio) Speedway on July 7. Ruhl bested the Sprints on Dirt (SOD) Series for the 15th win of his career at Merritt Speedway in Lake City, Mich., on July 8. Wrapping up the 410 contingency’s wins for the weekend was Doug Zimmerman, who won against a stout field of entries at Butler Speedway in Quincy, Mich., the same night.

Scoring J&J Auto Racing’s lone 360ci winged sprint car win of the week on July 7, Grosz capitalized on a late-race pass at Jackson (Minn.) Motorplex to capture his first Nebraska 360 Sprints/Midwest Sprint Touring Series (MSTS) win of the season at the facility. In Iowa on the same night, Epperson drove to a solid 305ci division victory at the legendary Knoxville Raceway. Surniak rounded out the week’s wins with a victory in Carolina Sprint Tour (CST) Series competition at Dublin (NC) Motor Speedway on July 8. Surniak was followed to the line by Dan Jones in second place and Mike Leraas, who finished third.
