Carolina Champion: Scott Lawrence Wins 2016 Carolina Racesaver Championship


McKenzie, Tenn. (Oct. 19, 2016) – Scott Lawrence was crowned as the 2016 Carolina RaceSaver Series champion last week as the series wrapped up the season. Hailing from Charlotte, NC, Lawrence won two feature events en route to this year’s title. Driving the No. 09 J&J Auto Racing entry to victories at East Lincoln Motor Speedway in Stanley, NC, on April 23 and at Sumter (SC) Speedway on June 4. 

J&J Auto Racing was well represented in the top-two spots in the Carolina RaceSaver Series battle, as Mike Sellers finished second in the overall standings by a mere one point. Lawrence and Sellers remained close in the series standings throughout the 2016 season, putting up a crowd-pleasing battle in the 305ci winged sprint car series. J&J Auto Racing congratulates both Lawrence and Sellers and we look forward to having them as part of the team again in 2017.
